SIX: The Musical
Six: The Musical tells the story of Henry the Eighth’s six wives as they reclaim their narrative through song. This production included a team of 7 actors (1 understudy) and 10+ backstage members
As Founder and Director of this student troupe, I led the weekly 3-hour rehearsals, oversaw Hair, Makeup, & Costumes, and coordinated venue contracts.
As an actor, I performed as Katherine Howard, as well as Anne Boleyn and Catherine Parr at smaller pop-up performances.
This production garnered an offline audience of 300+ people at its show in March, and has pooled over ¥1000 charity fees in providing legal help for domestic abuse victims.
Hamilton: The Musical
Hamilton: The Musical tells the story of the American Revolution and its following decades of history through the story of Alexander Hamilton. This production included a team of 20+ actors and 10+ backstage members.
As Branch Leader for the Baoshan Campus, I led weekly 2-hour rehearsals with ensemble cast members.
As Vocal Director, I created customized vocal practices for each cast member, and hosted additional 1-hour practice sessions every week.
As an actor, I performed as George Washington.
The performance had 300+ audience members, and 50,000+ views online.
Chinese Drama Club
Chinese Drama Club was originally founded by the school drama teacher. Following her departure, it became a student-run troupe with 20+ members for putting on classic Chinese plays.
As Director, I led weekly 2-hour rehearsals for the Chinese play Sunrise, and hosted original character workshops to help actors engage in catharsis.
As an actor, I acted in 4 major shows with accumulated 1000+ audience members for the plays The Peach Blossom Land and Mumble Jumble.
