“Soul”, my first issue as Editor in Chief of our school journal, was made in consideration of the inner world of our student body, and aimed to showcase the pondering voices stepping into a new school year together.
2025 Jan-mar:
"Potpourri"“Even if this year had started out rough, the gears of the seasons are turning within all of us, carrying neverending ideas and bloomings of hope.
Look around — spring is everywhere.”
“Potpourri” started off 2025. This issue, released at the start of the new semester, was meant to carry a message of hope while also exhibiting spring beauty under uniques lenses of literature and artwork.

“A singular feather doesn’t lift a bird — they’re grouped, arranged, and paraded into the sky to become the carrier that they are. Together is a flight into the world awaiting, no matter how tall or unexplored. We take from feathers bravery, and we take from feathers brevity.”
As a concept, “Feather” was first chosen as a simple symbol of freedom. Though that carried through, as the issue started taking shape, the second layer to the theme also came forward: the collaborative effort of flight.

“Your word of the season is Cinema, whether it be popcorn mall-date Rom-coms or late-night alone-in-the-bedroom tearjerkers – preferably both, and everything in between.”
Even before landing on a specific word, we knew we needed one that felt like summer. Later, combining inspiration from holiday activities, we found “Cinema” to be the perfect theme for this creativity montage.
